These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of cornerwiseco.com (the "Site") and any purchase you make from it. The Site is operated by Northlane Strategies LLC, a limited liability company organised in the State of New Mexico, trading as Cornerwise ("we", "us", "our").
By browsing the Site or placing an order you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the Site.
1. Who may buy
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to place an order. By ordering you confirm that you meet that requirement and that the payment details you provide are yours to use.
2. What we sell, and what it is not
Cornerwise sells a compact vehicle escape tool designed to do two things: break tempered automotive side glass, and cut seatbelt webbing.
Please read the following carefully, because it defines what the product can and cannot do:
- The tool works on tempered automotive side glass. It will not break laminated glass, which many vehicles use for the windscreen and, increasingly, for the front side windows. Laminated panes are usually marked on the glass itself. You are responsible for checking your own vehicle.
- The tool is not a substitute for professional rescue equipment and is not a substitute for a seatbelt, safe driving, or emergency services. Always call 911 first where it is possible to do so.
- The tool contains a recessed blade. Keep it out of reach of small children.
- The tool is not intended, marketed or sold as a weapon, and must not be used as one.
You are responsible for storing and using the product safely and lawfully, and for complying with any local law that applies to carrying tools of this kind.
3. Orders
An order placed through the Site is an offer to buy. We accept your offer when we send you a confirmation email or dispatch the goods, whichever happens first. Until then we may decline or cancel an order, including where an item is out of stock, where a price or description was published in error, or where we suspect fraud or resale in breach of these Terms.
If we cancel an order you have already paid for, we refund it in full.
4. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in US dollars and exclude any sales tax, which is calculated at checkout where applicable. We may change prices at any time, but a change will never affect an order we have already accepted.
Payment is taken at checkout through our payment providers. We do not see or store your full card details.
We try hard to keep the Site accurate, but errors happen. If a product is listed at an obviously incorrect price, we are not obliged to sell it at that price, and we will contact you before doing anything else.
5. Shipping and delivery
Delivery estimates are estimates, not guarantees. Risk of loss passes to you when the carrier delivers the parcel. See our Shipping Policy for timeframes and destinations.
6. Returns, refunds and warranty
Our Return and Refund Policy forms part of these Terms and sets out your 120-day right to change your mind and the 2-year warranty that comes with the product.
7. Use of the Site
You may use the Site for lawful personal purposes only. You agree not to interfere with the Site, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, scrape it at scale, use it to transmit malicious code, or use it to resell our products without our written permission.
8. Intellectual property
The Site and its contents, including text, photographs, graphics, layout and the Cornerwise name and marks, belong to Northlane Strategies LLC or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. You may not copy, reproduce or republish them without our written permission.
9. Reviews and anything you send us
If you send us a review, photograph, suggestion or other material, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce and publish it in connection with our business, and you confirm it is your own and does not infringe anyone else's rights. We may remove or decline to publish anything at our discretion. We do not pay for reviews and we do not publish reviews we know to be untrue.
10. Disclaimers and assumption of risk
The Site and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties not expressly stated in these Terms, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
Emergencies are unpredictable. We do not and cannot warrant that the product will prevent injury or death, or that it will function in every circumstance, on every vehicle, or on every type of glass. You accept that you use the product at your own risk and that you are responsible for reading the safety information supplied with it.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Northlane Strategies LLC and its officers, employees and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue or data, arising out of or connected with your use of the Site or the product.
Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the product giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Northlane Strategies LLC against claims and costs arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the product.
13. Third-party links and services
The Site may link to third-party sites and uses third-party services for payment, shipping and analytics. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those third parties, and their own terms and privacy policies apply.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force is the one published on the Site at the moment you place your order, and the date at the top tells you when it last changed.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You and we agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in New Mexico, except that either party may bring a claim in small claims court.
Before starting formal proceedings, please email us. Almost everything can be sorted out that way, and we would much rather do it that way.
16. General
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with the policies referred to in them, are the entire agreement between us.
